Welcome to Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing
The Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing is dedicated to educating its students to become nurses who provide the highest quality of nursing care to a diverse and complex population in challenging and ever-changing social, political and economic environments across the country and around the globe. The school offers an undergraduate baccalaureate program for students with no nursing background (generic track) as well as an accelerated second-degree track.
Flexible undergraduate tracks are offered for students in the generic program.
- The part-time/evening track is specially designed for those students who work during the day.
- The 16-month accelerated track is offered to those students who hold a baccalaureate degree in another discipline.
The School of Nursing admits students on a “rolling” basis and most courses are offered each semester.
The baccalaureate and master’s degree programs in nursing at the Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing at LIU Brooklyn are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
According to their website: “CCNE ensures the quality and integrity of baccalaureate, graduate, and residency programs in nursing. CCNE serves the public interest by assessing and identifying programs that engage in effective educational practices. As a voluntary, self‑regulatory process, CCNE accreditation supports and encourages continuing self‑assessment by nursing programs and supports continuing growth and improvement of collegiate professional education and post-baccalaureate nurse residency programs. To learn more, visit the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
